Terms of Use — Tabs Pro

These Terms of Use govern the use of the Tabs Pro app (store name: Tabs Pro: Afinador e Cifras), developed and published by OakAppWare. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What Tabs Pro does

Tabs Pro is an app to support guitar study that offers a chromatic tuner and the automatic generation of chord charts/tablatures from audio captured by the microphone or from files chosen by you. All processing happens on your device.

2. License to use

OakAppWare grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the app on devices you control, under the rules of the store where you obtained it (Google Play or App Store). Copying, modifying, distributing, selling, renting, decompiling or reverse engineering the app is prohibited, except where the law expressly permits.

3. Automatic transcription: accuracy not guaranteed

Chord-chart generation uses automatic audio analysis. By nature, this process is approximate: chords, frets, tempo and rhythmic division may come out different from the original performance, and recordings with noise, several instruments or vocals reduce the quality of the result. The app offers correction tools (chord editing, transposition, tempo adjustment) precisely because the automatic result is a starting point, not an official score. OakAppWare does not guarantee the accuracy of the generated chord charts or their fitness for any specific purpose.

4. Analyzed content and copyright

You are solely responsible for the audio you submit for analysis. Use only content you have the right to use — your own performance, authorized recordings or works in the public domain. The generated chord charts are intended for your personal and study use. Songs are protected works: publishing, distributing or commercially exploiting chord charts of third-party works may require authorization from the rights holders, and that responsibility is yours. Tabs Pro does not provide, host or distribute third-party recordings or chord charts.

5. Free preview and one-time purchase

The app is free and includes a preview with a limited number of chord-chart conversions. A future version will offer the unlocking of conversions through a one-time purchase processed by Google Play or the App Store. Prices may vary by country and are displayed by the store before confirmation. Cancellations and refunds follow the policies of the store where the purchase was made. The tuner and the chord charts already saved are not affected by the preview limit.

6. Intellectual property

The app, its code, the Tabs Pro name, the OakAppWare brand, the logo and the artwork are owned by OakAppWare. Third-party components built into the app (transcription model and typeface) are used under their own licenses, listed on the About → Open-source licenses screen inside the app.

7. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. OakAppWare is not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the app, including decisions made based on automatically generated chord charts. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that consumer protection legislation guarantees you in a non-waivable way.

8. Changes to the app and to these terms

OakAppWare may update, modify or discontinue features at any time, as well as revise these terms. Relevant changes will be published on this page, with a new date at the top. Continued use of the app after publication counts as agreement.

9. Privacy

The handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy — in short: no personal data is collected, and all audio is processed only on your device.

10. Governing law and forum

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The forum of the user's domicile is elected to settle disputes, as guaranteed by consumer legislation.
